There is an expectation that these players, once they start to learn to read defenses better and get a little bit more comfortable with their coaches and offensive coordinators and their team and the dynamic and just the sport itself on this level, there is an expectation that they look like a very different player or Bo Nix will anyways,

What does that look like? What kind of potential do you have there with John and potentially the Minnesota Timberwolves? Here's the issue though. And frankly, Anthony Edwards did what we expected John to do to be this young, exciting, aggressive type of basketball player that kind of had that balance of old school, new school ball and was just a hooper just through and through, just a hooper.

Unfortunately, there's certain aspects of it where it is out of your control. Well then I will tuck my tail and I'll say never mind. But I don't think that's what it was intended to do was to jab at his teammate. I think there's frustrations with the offensive coordinator and just this offense altogether. So I don't know. That's how I took that. And again, I think it just sheds light on a bigger issue, which is you can have all the weapons in the world, but if you don't have an offensive coordinator, an elite offensive coordinator that knows how to maximize the strengths of your weapons, forget about it.

That being said, I'm a huge fan of Stephen Smith. This was very much giving, like Pat Babb in the locker room with that female reporter when she said she didn't watch his podcast. Like this to me, was more about it was less about the disrespect of Cam Newton, which I don't think was what Drake Maye was trying to do, and it was more about the fact that Drake Maye doesn't watch their show like their panties were in a wad.

So again, this was also right after Cam Newton said my words got taken out of context.
