The NBA Doesn’t Deserve Nikola Jokic | GS MoodSwings

Episode Summary

Welcome to MoodSwings presented by Landmark Lincoln…Your new favorite sports therapy show. Jokic is the best player alive—but does he actually fit the “face of the NBA” role? He dominates every stat since 2020, yet he wants nothing to do with the spotlight, and the league knows it. The game’s evolved, and the Nuggets star is redefining what greatness looks like. Jamal Murray drops 50, fueling the “Jokic has help” debate…but Denver’s past inconsistency is exactly why that narrative existed. Chris Paul deserved better from the Clippers. Their handling of him is another example of why the organization keeps failing. MPJ is thriving in Brooklyn, but Cam Johnson is the better fit for Denver. The Nuggets won the trade; MPJ won for himself. Plus: Dillon Gabriel’s fiancée goes too far online, Driven Opinions powered by Landmark Lincoln, and this week’s betting slate. Episode Notes

In this episode of Moodswings, Liv Moods opens with a deep dive into the ongoing debate around Nikola Jokić and whether he should be considered the face of the NBA. While she argues that Jokić is statistically unmatched in every major category since the start of the decade, she breaks down why the league and its media machine will never position him as the face — and why he genuinely doesn’t care either. Liv also reacts to Jamal Murray’s 50-point performance and pushes back on the idea that Jokić has “always” had help, explaining why this team looks different than years past thanks to the evolution of Aaron Gordon, the emergence of a real backup center, and a fully healthy, locked-in Murray. The show shifts to the Clippers’ late-night decision to send Chris Paul home, prompting a full-scale Liv Moods rant on incompetence, accountability, and why the organization’s reputation is “shot to hell.” She then breaks down the MPJ–Cam Johnson trade, explaining why Denver won the deal even with MPJ thriving in Brooklyn. Liv also dives into the viral situation surrounding Dylan Gabriel’s fiancée and the Browns, emphasizing how online comments can unintentionally expose locker-room conversations. In Driven Opinions, she answers fan questions on Marvin Mims’ under-usage, Sean Payton’s play-calling, her favorite cheat meals and TV shows, and the patience required with David Adelman as the Nuggets deal with injuries. The episode wraps with an NFL weekend preview featuring high-stakes matchups with playoff implications, including Ravens–Steelers, Colts–Jags, Bears–Packers, and Texans–Chiefs.

Liv Moods

Welcome into another episode of Mood Swings with Liv. Moods. I am Liv moods and as always, this is presented by Landmark Lincoln. 00;00;26;16 - 00;00;40;18

Liv Moods

Enough about cars. Let's get into some sports talk.

00;00;40;20 - 00;01;04;11

Liv Moods

Welcome everyone to another episode of Mood Swings with Liv moods. I'm Liv moods. And like I said, this has been presented or is presented by landmark Lincoln. Welcome in everyone. Duvall I see you in the chat. TGIF could not agree more. We are one day closer to the Denver Broncos, taking on the Raiders this weekend, this Sunday and obviously there's a lot of excitement and anticipation around this Denver Broncos team.

00;01;04;11 - 00;01;23;28

Liv Moods

The playoff picture right now is one that is very odd. We're in a very interesting spot as it as it pertains to the NFL, but a fun one. I think you're seeing new faces, new teams that have got a lot of hype around them really quickly. Let me let everybody know, that we are live and to come hang out with us while we get into some things.

00;01;23;28 - 00;01;42;13

Liv Moods

We are going to start actually the show talking a little bit of NBA. I feel like I have neglected the NBA a little bit and let's not forget, they are also in season right now. And the Denver Nuggets are also fighting to be a top contender in the Western Conference, despite OKC just blowing everybody out of the water right now.

00;01;42;13 - 00;02;00;18

Liv Moods

There's a lot to discuss though as it pertains to basketball. And so we're going to start with that. First and foremost Nikola Jokic I've talked a couple of times on my show about him and just how valuable he is and the player that he is and how, you know, we're just now having conversations about how great he is.

00;02;00;18 - 00;02;22;12

Liv Moods

But for those of us that have watched him and truly watched Nikola Jokic play on a nightly basis, know how wonderful he is and has been and how dominant he's been over the last. Now five and a half seasons. So let's talk about a conversation that I've kind of seen throughout, social media platforms, which is is Nikola Jokic the face of the NBA.

00;02;22;12 - 00;02;40;19

Liv Moods

Now my answer might shock you. My answer might surprise you a little bit because you know I am a Nikola Jokic truther I am a Denver Nuggets fan since birth. First of all I think we should call out the obvious, which is I don't think he really wants that title. I don't think Nikola Jokic either cares or wants to be the face of the NBA.

00;02;40;19 - 00;02;59;18

Liv Moods

Now don't run with that and make it sound like, oh, he doesn't care about basketball. No, I just don't think he cares about all the extra excess things that come with being the face of the NBA. Secondly, despite Nikola Jokic being the best player in the league, which I will say with my chest because he is, I actually don't think he's the face of the NBA.

00;02;59;18 - 00;03;29;00

Liv Moods

And I'm going to tell you why. Before you jump to conclusions here, just know I'm an Nikola Jokic truther and a Denver Nuggets fan. So just hear me when I say it's obvious Nikola Jokic is the best player in the league. Backed by this generation's Goat in LeBron James since the start of the decade, he ranks first in total points, first in total rebounds, first in total assists, first in total steals, first in plus minus, first in double doubles, first in triple doubles, and first in MVP's.

00;03;29;01 - 00;03;50;06

Liv Moods

However, despite all of those fantastic accolades, I still don't think that he should be the face of the NBA. Here's why. Let's be real. There are a lot of unspoken requirements that are involved with being the face of the NBA. It's not just about your game. It's not just about being a dominant player. It's not just about your stat lines or your accolades.

00;03;50;09 - 00;04;26;00

Liv Moods

Do you think the NBA let's be real, let's let's make this a real moment for a second. Do you think the NBA wants the face of their league to be an international player, a non-American player? The answer is hell no. No. They don't. And if you look at the domination of international players in the NBA, it's there. You can make a case for many players that are non-American players that have made a huge impact on the National Basketball Association, but I don't think the NBA will ever back one of those international players being the face of the league, I really don't.

00;04;26;03 - 00;04;41;01

Liv Moods

I think that's an aspect of this that we don't talk about enough. I don't think the NBA would ever push that. We live in a world of media as well, right? Social media has taken over. Just your image on social media means a lot these days. It carries a lot of weight in terms of brand deals.

00;04;41;01 - 00;05;01;10

Liv Moods

Now we're seeing and I'll even start at a younger level. A younger age. And so media matters. And Nikola Jokic, at the end of the day dodges the media. Any chance he gets. He wants no part of it. And there's nothing wrong with that. But he doesn't want any part of the media. When you look at the face of the NBA are they marketable.

00;05;01;10 - 00;05;22;04

Liv Moods

What is their likeness and appeal? You know, believe it or not, despite his accolades proving he is the best player in this league, he's pretty polarizing. There's still people out there that don't believe Nikola Jokic is as great as he is. Despite me just mentioning all of the categories in which he has been first since the start of the decade, it doesn't matter.

00;05;22;04 - 00;05;44;19

Liv Moods

You still have people that don't believe in Nikola Jokic despite the numbers. Telling you you should. Is Nikola Jokic statistically the face of the NBA? Yes, absolutely. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not he is I could I could pull a ton of proof to back that claim. This is actually no longer an opinion. It's a fact Nikola Jokic statistically is the face of the NBA.

00;05;44;21 - 00;06;04;13

Liv Moods

But does Nikola Jokic possess the narrative that is attached with being the face of the NBA. No he doesn't. And the best part is he's going to continue to dominate without a care in the world of whether or not he's the face or he isn't, he doesn't care. He doesn't. I think his fans care more than he does.

00;06;04;13 - 00;06;24;19

Liv Moods

He does not care. At the end of the day, he shows up, he does his job, he clocks out. That's the end of it. He's going to continue to dominate and beat your favorite team, regardless of whether or not he's the face. And he doesn't really care if he is or not. Plus, I think it's worth mentioning. I don't think there's any I don't think we can say any more that there is a face of the NBA period.

00;06;24;22 - 00;06;42;28

Liv Moods

As much as we want to push it, you can make a case for an Anthony Edwards, a Luka Doncic now that he's in LA and we know LeBron James, all these injuries you know age not on his side any longer. Luka is positioned and primed to be the face of the NBA, playing for one of the most, you know, well known organizations within the NBA.

00;06;42;28 - 00;07;01;28

Liv Moods

You could say Luka has a case, right? SGA Anthony Edwards, there's a lot of people you can make a case for. That being said, I think the game has evolved in such a way that faces of the NBA are a thing of the past. They really are. I don't think people care anymore. This is such a star driven league and you have stars everywhere.

00;07;02;03 - 00;07;20;12

Liv Moods

On any given night, you could have some rando on the Washington Wizards dropped 50 points, and all of a sudden, now you're watching that player going, who's this young guy? What does their ceiling look like? You're seeing a lot of superstars right now unhappy about where they are wanting to move to a different team. What does it look like when they do that?

00;07;20;19 - 00;07;40;19

Liv Moods

We saw Damian Lillard leave. The team that he was on for years and years and years and years and years to go somewhere else. And it was a total flop. And now he's right back where he started. So this is such a star driven league. And you're seeing stars move all over the place. And I think an aspect of being the face of the NBA is also kind of being a franchise player.

00;07;40;22 - 00;08;03;15

Liv Moods

Being somewhere and and taking that team all the way. The success of your team, despite what we want to say, does matter. It does. And so, yeah, I think we can do away with a face in the NBA. But if it had to be statistically a player, it would be Nikola Jokic. Based on narrative alone, it will never be Nikola Jokic, whether we want it to be or not.

00;08;03;17 - 00;08;27;07

Liv Moods

It will never be Nikola Jokic. And frankly I don't think he wants it to be either. So we can move on from that conversation and just acknowledge what it is. Nikola Jokic is the best player in the NBA. It's not close. Statistically he has led way too many categories. And I'm talking not second, third, fourth, first place in way too many categories since the start of the decade to not be named statistically the face of the NBA.

00;08;27;07 - 00;08;51;25

Liv Moods

But he doesn't care. So we shouldn't care. Let's move on. A 50 piece for Jamal Murray guys. Wow wow wow wow wow wow. Want to talk about this though in a different way. First let's talk about the positive of this right. And and the history behind it, which is that for the first time in NBA history, three teammates have scored 50 plus points in the first 21 games of the season.

00;08;51;26 - 00;09;10;19

Liv Moods

That is Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and now Jamal Murray. Which leads me to a popular conversation that we've seen in the past few seasons. And now we're seeing people kind of push against it, having seen what Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon have done this season, and that is that Jokic doesn't have help. I'm going to stop you there.

00;09;10;26 - 00;09;34;22

Liv Moods

I saw many, many comments as it regarded to this historic stat of AG Jamal and Jokic all having 50 point games this season trying to debunk the claim that Jokic does not have help. And people are now saying well clearly he does. Right. Well clearly you're a casual. Clearly you don't watch the Denver Nuggets. And you only watch the highlight clips that are posted to social media or you just consume stats and that's where you get your information from.

00;09;34;22 - 00;09;58;06

Liv Moods

But let me stop you there. Don't make it too obvious now that you don't watch the Denver Nuggets, because the people that have watched the Denver Nuggets know playoff Jamal a name. We're all very familiar with right. You hear playoff Jamal and you're like I know that guy right. Playoff Jamal was kind of created because of the shape shifting that Jamal Murray goes through.

00;09;58;08 - 00;10;24;17

Liv Moods

When it's playoff time. We normally don't get what we're getting out of Jamal Murray until the springtime when the playoffs are around the corner. That's the truth okay. Playoff Jamal is a different creature. He turns into a different player when the playoffs are around the corner. Just ask the Lakers. They know very well what playoff Jamal looks like, but we don't normally see this version of Jamal this early in the season.

00;10;24;17 - 00;10;42;26

Liv Moods

And I think I mentioned this even a few weeks ago. I was like, we are getting a lot out of Jamal. Really really early. We are we normally don't see this until the playoffs. Hence playoff Jamal you know we're always begging for playoff Jamal because we normally don't see this out of him until later in the season. We're seeing it early this year.

00;10;42;28 - 00;11;08;06

Liv Moods

So I want to debunk the whole well clearly Jokic has help thing because normally not so much okay. We have to acknowledge what this is. We're getting a healthier version of Jamal Murray both physically emotionally and mentally. He's more locked in much much earlier in the season. So that's helping a lot for Nikola Jokic. This is also one of the first seasons you've had a true backup center over the last few seasons.

00;11;08;06 - 00;11;26;09

Liv Moods

This is the first time you've had a true backup center behind Nikola Jokic who's kind of making those non Jokic minutes a little bit more tolerable a little less painful right. You can also give a little bit of credit to Aaron Gordon and the improvement that he's made over the last couple of seasons becoming an elite shooter.

00;11;26;11 - 00;11;45;20

Liv Moods

I wasn't able to confidently say that a couple of years ago that Aaron Gordon was an elite shooter. So when we're talking about offensively what Nikola Jokic is capable of, you could still make a case that over the last few seasons, despite the roster not changing all that much, you're getting more out of Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray this season than you have for the past few seasons.

00;11;45;25 - 00;12;05;24

Liv Moods

So I'm going to debunk the claim that now all of a sudden, because Jamal Murray had a 50 point performance, that yogurt has always had help. He hasn't. Just because he's had help doesn't mean that help was showing up. We normally don't get what we're getting from Jamal Murray. As of December 5th until about, I don't know, may.

00;12;05;26 - 00;12;27;24

Liv Moods

So this is a very different team. This is a very different nuggets team. You have depth. You have a true backup center behind Nikola Jokic. You've got Aaron Gordon who has evolved into an elite shooter. You've got a locked in hungry healthy version of Jamal Murray. That makes a huge difference. You've got these young guys showing up and showing out Spencer Jones being one.

00;12;27;26 - 00;12;46;13

Liv Moods

Okay, so there is a lot that has changed from this season to last. So if you're a casual right, if you just turn on the Denver Nuggets here and there, you know you now claiming or declaring Jokic has always had help. Makes me. It makes it very clear to me you don't watch this Denver Nuggets team. You don't.

00;12;46;15 - 00;13;17;01

Liv Moods

Just because some of the roster members that are showing up and showing out this season were the same roster members over the last couple of seasons, doesn't mean they were helping all the time, right? And for whatever reason, that is, for whatever reason, it takes Jamal Murray until the playoffs to really heat up is irrelevant. I mean, we've seen behind closed doors things come to life about the front office and the coach and their tumultuous relationship and maybe there were some issues with people on the team.

00;13;17;02 - 00;13;34;13

Liv Moods

You know, did Russell Westbrook butt heads with people? Did him and Jamal always get along? There could be a million reasons why it takes a while for us to see what playoff Jamal is all about. But at the end of the day, we're not going to now all of a sudden declare that Jokic has always had help because we're seeing a red hot version of Jamal Murray.

00;13;34;13 - 00;13;55;02

Liv Moods

As of December 1st. We're just not okay. We're just not because Jamal Murray is playing very differently this time of the year than he was this time last year. Okay. So it's a very different situation. Aaron Gordon, a reliable elite shooter that has come with his off season training and the confidence that he has built in himself and the way in which he has evolved as a player.

00;13;55;02 - 00;14;13;09

Liv Moods

But that hasn't always been the case. Aaron Gordon's always been a great player. Jamal Murray has always been a great player, but they're showing up now more than ever to support Nikola Jokic. And so we're not going to forget about those past few seasons where it did feel like you could you didn't have help. Look at those nine minutes okay.

00;14;13;12 - 00;14;36;10

Liv Moods

Just go watch the tape. Go watch the film. When Nikola Jokic was taken off of that floor. And you still had some of these valuable key players on the floor, go look at the difference in that Denver Nuggets team. It's undeniable the impact that Nikola Jokic had. And it did kind of confirm he needs more help. So what did the new front office do this year in the off season they got to work.

00;14;36;13 - 00;14;57;20

Liv Moods

They got Nikola Jokic some help. So yes now you can say Nikola Jokic has some help finally. But don't look at a 50 point game from Jamal Murray this season. And automatically assume he's always had help because it hasn't always looked this way. So it is a really really awesome spot to be in despite some of their winnable losses that they have, which I'm not thrilled about.

00;14;57;22 - 00;15;15;04

Liv Moods

It is what it is. And this nuggets team, in my opinion, has a much stronger foundation to lie on. To push them through the playoffs. I really believe that. I feel very calm about this team this season, and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that we've done a whole lot more with a whole lot less now we've got more.

00;15;15;05 - 00;15;33;09

Liv Moods

So I'm excited to see what we're capable of. Truly. Also, you can make a case OKC got even scarier. Didn't know that was possible. So it's not going to be a walk in the park. Let's make that clear. It's going to be very, very difficult. You watch what Luka Doncic is doing with the Lakers. You watch what the OKC Thunder are doing from a domination standpoint.

00;15;33;12 - 00;15;54;14

Liv Moods

You watch some of the ads that the Houston Rockets added in the offseason. I mean, it's not going to be a walk in the park, but we have seen the nuggets do a lot with a little now. I think they have a lot, so I'm excited to see where that takes them. Okay. Let's say on the topic of the NBA, because I really I mean, goodness sakes.

00;15;54;17 - 00;16;14;23

Liv Moods

Disappointed is probably a good word, but also not surprised. You know, when you're you know what they say, expect the worst and hope for the best so that you aren't disappointed. I think we all should have have this mindset moving forward when it comes to the Los Angeles Clippers, period. I mean, how effing embarrassing what this Los Angeles Clippers team did.

00;16;14;25 - 00;16;41;25

Liv Moods

How embarrassing. Chris Paul finds out in the middle of the night that he has been sent home by the Los Angeles Clippers, a team that he put on the map. Let's make that very clear right from the jump. Another thing, Blake Griffin, is this does this Chris Paul story sound familiar? Well, it is. Blake Griffin wanted to retire at Clipper seven months after signing a five year, $171 million deal to stay in LA.

00;16;41;27 - 00;17;11;08

Liv Moods

The Clippers traded him to Detroit despite him wanting to retire. There. Chris Paul wanted to retire a Clipper. Five months after coming home, the Clippers released him in the middle of the night. Shame on you. Shame on you. Okay, Ty Lue, when asked about Chris Paul, says, I just think it wasn't a good fit for what he was looking for.

00;17;11;11 - 00;17;29;07

Liv Moods

What he was looking for was to retire in a place that called Hollywood that he could call home. What do you mean? It wasn't a good fit for what he was looking for. It was very simple. He was in his retirement season and he wanted to retire here. Period. But nice try, Ty. We'll get to that in the second person teams.

00;17;29;09 - 00;17;52;24

Liv Moods

Champ says Chris Paul and his leadership style clashed with the Clippers, sources tell ESPN. Paul has been vocal in holding management, coaches and players accountable, which the team felt became disruptive. Specifically Ty Lue, who I just told you what he had to say. Ty Lue was not on speaking terms with Paul for several weeks. So let me get this straight.

00;17;52;24 - 00;18;10;28

Liv Moods

Let's break it down to the most simple elementary level, because I think that's the only way you can communicate with the Los Angeles Clippers. You have to dumb it down and water it down. Otherwise they don't understand it okay. Because this is world class incompetence at its finest here, folks. I'm not kidding an NBA. Great. Let me let me get this straight.

00;18;11;00 - 00;18;34;20

Liv Moods

An NBA great in Chris Paul got disrespected by the very team he made relevant during his retirement season. Let's add salt to the wound because the organization can't take accountability. That's what this is about. Let's be so for real. Ty Lue can tell us all day long it wasn't a good fit. And I wish him the best. And I hate to see him go out this way.

00;18;34;21 - 00;18;53;03

Liv Moods

No you don't because you're the reason he's going out this way okay? We're not going to act like you didn't know what you were doing here. What do you mean? Chris Paul in his retirement season is not a good fit. We're not a good fit for what he's looking for. What he's looking for is to retire in a place that he calls home, which is the Los Angeles Clippers.

00;18;53;03 - 00;19;15;16

Liv Moods

And frankly, you're lucky he wanted to come back to this organization and retire. Let's be so for real. How many more failed experiments do the Clippers have to go through? The list goes on. Let me get out my scroll and extend it across the football field. How many failed experiments do they have to go through before they realize they are the problem?

00;19;15;18 - 00;19;38;07

Liv Moods

Look in the mirror Clippers. You've got a lot of issues and Chris Paul is not one of them now. And frankly, he never has been. He made the Clippers relevant in the first place. Like I said you're lucky he wanted to come back to this organization and retire. It was an honor that he wanted to do that. And you took it away from him an NBA great.

00;19;38;09 - 00;19;58;19

Liv Moods

I mean, my God, failed experiments left and right. A six and 16 record. If that doesn't make you look in the mirror, then I'm not sure you ever will. So, Ty Lue, enough of the hocus pocus into the microphone. And why don't you call it what it is? Chris Paul walked into an organization he's very familiar with that he made a huge impact on.

00;19;58;24 - 00;20;20;27

Liv Moods

And he held you accountable because you guys frankly suck and you didn't like it. So you kicked him out of his own house. That's what you did. It's weirdo behavior. It's weirdo behavior. The Clippers in the offseason added Chris Paul. Bradley Beal and Brook Lopez. Let's let's get down to just three. These are just three recent examples of failed experiments by the Clippers.

00;20;21;03 - 00;20;34;24

Liv Moods

But like I said we have a scroll we could look through. Chris Paul has been sent home. Now Bradley Beal and Brook Lopez are both out for the season. Oh.

00;20;34;26 - 00;20;41;11

Liv Moods

Add it to the list. Add it to the list of failed experiments. Yep.

00;20;41;13 - 00;21;09;21

Liv Moods

They should be honored that an all time great like Chris Paul who made a massive impact on this organization, wanted to come back despite how bad things are over there. He wanted to come back and retire with this joke of an organization. They should have been honored by that, and instead they disrespected him. The very man that helped make this organization relevant in the first place.

00;21;09;21 - 00;21;34;07

Liv Moods

Clippers. Hear me loud and clear. Your reputation is fried. Shot, shot to hell. Good bye. I don't want to hear about you anymore. I've seen what I've needed to see. I'm done. Okay. No player with common sense is going to want to stay and play for this team. After watching what you just did to a guy like Chris Paul, if you did that to him, what on earth would you do to me?

00;21;34;09 - 00;22;07;29

Liv Moods

You know, no loyalty, your money hungry non accountability. Taking weirdos is what you are. Okay so this is just the highest level of incompetence and disrespect. I mean it is only a matter of time before every player on this team wants out. And I hope for the sake of some of these outstanding competitive players that still want to play tough and win games, get the f out of Los Angeles immediately.

00;22;08;02 - 00;22;35;02

Liv Moods

I mean, this just you guys got to be honest, guys, this situation ticked me off, ticked me off. Now okay, here's the deal. Nuggets need to back PG don't they. I heard they do. You know I know he's in his retirement season and that that is it right there. You know what the the disrespect was there period. But in this man's retirement season I mean I have words I want I have names I would like to call these people truly.

00;22;35;03 - 00;22;57;27

Liv Moods

I'm not going to I'm not going to. But I would like to because that is just that's the lowest of the lows. Grow up. You are the problem. It's so absurd. The Clippers have so many issues. Chris Paul was not one of them okay. He wasn't grow up okay. Let's move on. Because before I get too worked up let me get a set.

00;22;58;00 - 00;23;22;01

Liv Moods

Live moods always just ranting and raving. What's new? Okay, here's an interesting conversation. Oh, let's get into where Cam Johnson versus m p J who won the trade? Okay. I need you to follow along because this I may I may answer this in a way that if you're already thinking, you know, my answer, I don't think you do.

00;23;22;04 - 00;24;01;25

Liv Moods

I don't think you do. Let's get into this. Who won this trade? Cam Johnson and PJ. Did the nuggets win. Did Brooklyn win. Let's break it down. The Denver Nuggets traded on PJ and a 2032 first round pick for Cam Johnson okay Cam Johnson this season here his averages 11.1 points per game 2.3 assists per game, 40% from three and 46.1% from the field and PJ this season 25.3 points per game, 3.2 assists per game, 38.5% from three and 48.8% from the field.

00;24;01;27 - 00;24;27;28

Liv Moods

A casual we'll hear those numbers and automatically say Brooklyn won this trade, but slow down. Here are some things that you should think about before you make that claim. Okay, first of all, shout out PJ, I am happy you are balling. Okay. Like I said, averaging 25.3 points per game. But let's not act like the Denver Nuggets traded him while he was averaging 25 points per game.

00;24;28;03 - 00;24;45;28

Liv Moods

He was not doing this as of late in Denver. He wasn't. So that's the first thing you have to remember. As much as I love what he's doing now, he wasn't doing this in Denver. He wasn't. So we're not going to make it seem like the nuggets traded that superstar that was averaging 25 a game. He wasn't okay.

00;24;46;00 - 00;25;07;09

Liv Moods

The nuggets at the end of the day don't really need Cam Johnson to be a superstar okay. They just need him to be complementary. And I think that's what a lot of you are forgetting. You look at stat lines and you automatically jump to, oh, Brooklyn won this trade for sure. For sure. Look at what I'm doing versus what Cam Johnson is doing.

00;25;07;12 - 00;25;33;00

Liv Moods

Well, that's when I remind you the nets are five and 17. The nuggets are 15 and six. So you don't need Cam Johnson to be averaging 25 points per game. You just need him to play complementary ball. At the end of the day, this trade was more about who's a better fit, not who's the better player. Right. So Cam Johnson just needs to be complementary despite PJ balling out.

00;25;33;00 - 00;25;54;00

Liv Moods

Like I said the nets are five and 17. We're not going to pretend like I'm PJ when he got traded was averaging 25 points per game because he wasn't. And when PJ wasn't playing well offensively, he wasn't playing at all. He shut down. He lost confidence and frankly, he lost his identity in his final seasons with Denver. He did.

00;25;54;03 - 00;26;16;24

Liv Moods

So which team won the trade? I'm going to go ahead and say Denver because Cam Johnson in my opinion is a better fit and plays more complimentary ball. But if you ask which player won the trade, I would say PJ he's balling out. And I don't think we would have seen what we're seeing with PJ this season if he would have stayed with Denver.

00;26;16;26 - 00;26;51;21

Liv Moods

So which team on the trade? Denver. Which player won the trade and PJ? I don't think it's about who's the better player, who's scoring more points. The nuggets needed someone complementary with the starters that they plan to keep an Aaron Gordon, a Jamal Murray, a CB, a Nikola Jokic who plays more complimentary ball with those guys. And unfortunately, as much as I loved what we got out of PJ when he was in his prime as the Denver Nuggets towards the end of his time in Denver, he was no longer complimentary.

00;26;51;22 - 00;27;14;06

Liv Moods

It wasn't a good fit and it also wasn't a good fit for him as well. Forget Denver for a second. I don't think M.P. J, like I said, was going to be averaging 25 points per game if he stayed in Denver. It was an amicable split that needed to happen. I think they just ran into a spot where it was like, we're not really making each other better anymore.

00;27;14;08 - 00;27;35;02

Liv Moods

Both of us. The nuggets can say to me, PJ, we're not making you better anymore, and you're not making us better anymore. So who on the trade? Denver did, but which player won the trade? Michael Porter Jr and shut out Michael Porter Junior. Keep balling out. You know nobody in Denver has forgotten about all the great things that you did for this team.

00;27;35;02 - 00;27;59;17

Liv Moods

At the end of the day it was just a split that needed to happen. It did. It just needed to happen in my opinion. You know, kind of a win win for both parties here truly. So yeah, there you go. And also you have to remember as well how much money Denver was able to save not having and PJ's contract holding them and tying them down.

00;27;59;19 - 00;28;20;03

Liv Moods

So again it was a business decision that I just think was best for both Denver and and PJ. Honestly and Cam Johnson playing complimentary ball. He's doing enough. Do you want to see more? Absolutely. But I think you got to give him a second. I think you got to give him some time. And you can't expect him to average 25 points per game.

00;28;20;04 - 00;28;41;19

Liv Moods

I don't think that will ever happen, but it doesn't need to happen, is my point. Especially not when you've got Aaron Gordon, who has evolved as an elite shooter. You've got Jamal Murray playing playoff Jamal basketball in December, and you've got Nikola Jokic, who has already won three MVP's and is playing better than he's ever played before. You don't need Cam Johnson to average 25 points per game.

00;28;41;19 - 00;29;02;05

Liv Moods

You just don't. You just need him to make plays and play complementary ball. And I think he's doing just fine with that. Okay. There you go. All right. Let's move on to another topic that, you know, I just felt like I had to address this crap cuz it's everywhere. Dylan. Gabriel's fiancée. Okay, here's the deal. Beautiful woman, by the way.

00;29;02;08 - 00;29;19;18

Liv Moods

There's drama. If you haven't heard about the drama, here it is. You know, women do these things called get ready with mes, okay? You ever see a woman say, she's saying, get ready with me. Do the makeup. Put on the cute outfit. You know, pregame. She's showing us the cute jerseys that she's wearing. And she is a beautiful woman, by the way.

00;29;19;18 - 00;29;41;19

Liv Moods

Beautiful. So I like watching her videos, actually. But there were a couple little comments. And first and foremost, it's never a bright idea to go back and forth with a faceless profile. It's just not okay. Because they don't have any bearing on your life. You have no bearing on theirs. They have their opinions, and 90% of the time they're talking out of their behind.

00;29;41;20 - 00;30;00;02

Liv Moods

Okay, so what she did was she made a video. First video that kind of was a red flag to people was a video of her getting ready for a game. And she must have posted it later because the caption said the Browns lost again. What's new? The Browns lost again. What's new with the laughing of a laughing emoji?

00;30;00;04 - 00;30;23;15

Liv Moods

Now, where this gets a little dicey is that this was a game that should do her stand. Sanders was the starter, not Dylan Gabriel. So already it's kind of like, why is this funny to you? If you really, really are trying to stand ten toes down on business supporting your fiancee, I think you kind of have to support the team that drafted him, the team that gave him a chance.

00;30;23;15 - 00;30;53;20

Liv Moods

Right? So already kind of feeling a little weird here. People are like, why would you say that? With a laughing emoji. Like it's not funny. You know, the true Browns fans aren't laughing. We're ticked off. We're sick of losing. Okay, so that was step one. The other part of this that really went viral is she did what I didn't want her to do, which is engaging with the trolls, the trolls that live under a bridge that shouldn't be talked to because you gain nothing from having a conversation with these people.

00;30;53;25 - 00;31;26;10

Liv Moods

Okay? Let let them think what they want to think, right? This person left a comment kind of alluding to. Their opinion on her comments and how she's been responding to people. And, you know, she she made a pretty large statement here that I'm not sure she thought through all that much. She pretty much alluded to the fact that the entire locker room wants Dylan Gabriel to play, not should where Sanders.

00;31;26;13 - 00;31;59;07

Liv Moods

Oh, first off, I think I should address the largest problem with this. If the entire locker room thinks Dylan Gabriel should start over. Should or Sanders. That's why they're losers. I mean, the the locker room doesn't even know ball at that point. So that's problem number one here, because I don't think anyone in their right mind who has watched the Browns play at all this season would, would say out loud, Dylan should be starting over.

00;31;59;07 - 00;32;25;21

Liv Moods

Shudder. Now, if it boils down to maybe should or Sanders rubs you the wrong way. You don't like his attitude. You think he's immature, whatever the case, but quite a large statement to make. Lumping the entire locker room together with such a unintelligent statement. Dylan Gabriel over should Dawson I don't think that's a no no. If the Browns locker room is saying this, then I'm not surprised by their record.

00;32;25;21 - 00;32;49;13

Liv Moods

Let's put it that way. Okay, so I understand standing ten toes down for your man, right? That's your man. You should do that. I think men want their women to stand ten toes down for them. Here's the problem, though. Who does this make look bad? Not really her. Because how on earth would she know that the locker room is stating that they want Dylan to start over?

00;32;49;19 - 00;33;16;28

Liv Moods

Or the only way she knows that is from who Dylan Gabriel. So now she's exposing pillow talk, guys. Yeah, he comes home to his woman. He's venting as he should. Okay, if there's any truth to this statement, he came home to his safe place, vented to his safe person, and she took it to social media, which only made him look like an idiot.

00;33;17;00 - 00;33;41;08

Liv Moods

Now you're, like, stirring the pot here. You you're going home and you're using what? You're as the rookie on the team. You're using things that your team is saying as pillow talk to your fiancé, who's running straight to social media and airing it out as if the Browns don't have enough issues right now. Now you're just creating like, trust issues from the guy you want to start.

00;33;41;08 - 00;34;04;04

Liv Moods

Apparently, everybody wants Dylan Gabriel to start. How on earth is that going to work now? Your quarterback is supposed to be the leader now they don't trust him because why are you, Aaron? Everything out at home to your fiancee who's running straight? Social media to air it out there to thousands and thousands and thousands of people now. Probably millions because everybody's talking about it.

00;34;04;06 - 00;34;32;29

Liv Moods

So I just think there is a world where, you know, these wives and girlfriends are their own people. And I've talked about this before. You know, you can't lump every wag into the same category. We got to cut that crap out. It's it's it's so old news. Okay. You know, there are some. Yes. Lump them together. Whatever. But for the most part, the majority of the wives and girlfriends that I have interacted with are their own people.

00;34;33;01 - 00;35;02;03

Liv Moods

Okay. When I go out in public with them, they don't even want people to know why they moved to Denver or what their husband does for work. They don't care to let people know that because they are their own individual. That being said, I think every wife and girlfriend understands for the most part, that there's certain things that you just shouldn't say or do in respect, out of respect for your partner, because your partner's the one in the limelight.

00;35;02;09 - 00;35;24;07

Liv Moods

At the end of the day, your partner is the one that will face scrutiny when things get a little messy. At the end of the day, this only made Dylan look like an idiot because why are you Aaron? If there is truth to that statement, why are you airing it out? And what are you saying at home that's making her think that also.

00;35;24;10 - 00;35;43;27

Liv Moods

She said couch and not coach. That really bugged me. You know, if you're going to have a big moment that's going to go mega viral, you know, I would really hope the grammar's on par. It wasn't. And now honestly, on on all social media accounts, most people are talking about the fact that she said couch and not coach and they're running with that.

00;35;44;00 - 00;35;53;10

Liv Moods

So it's going even more viral because there was a grammar error like, gosh, man, this didn't need to happen. So.

00;35;53;13 - 00;36;19;10

Liv Moods

Schnorr Sanders might not be the Browns guy, but in my opinion, he's a hell of a lot better than Dylan Gabriel. So she's talking awfully loud about a situation that's like, Dylan's not safe here. He's a rookie in this league, a very cutthroat and competitive league. So I would just I would tread lightly because you just don't want to say something that puts him in a compromising position this young.

00;36;19;10 - 00;36;46;15

Liv Moods

He hasn't. He's not somebody yet. I got to tell you, he's not. It doesn't mean he can't be. But Dylan Gabriel is not somebody yet. So as his partner who kind of represents the home, right. You're you're speaking about things that have clearly been spoken about in your home. You kind of have a duty and a responsibility to carry yourself in such a way that doesn't reflect poorly on him.

00;36;46;17 - 00;37;07;06

Liv Moods

So just be be cautious. You know, it's not great. Don't do it. And don't engage with these frickin profiles, man. I've learned, I've learned the hard way. You can't argue is stupid sometimes. And I'm not even saying that this comment in particular is like the stupid one. I'm just saying don't argue with these people. They don't affect how your bills get paid and how you live your life.

00;37;07;06 - 00;37;30;29

Liv Moods

So leave them be. You know? Okay, that's all I had to address that. Let's get into a little, landmark Lincoln guys. As you know, Landmark Lincoln is the sponsor of this show. And I have a beautiful new 2025 Lincoln Nautilus car. And I work with Landmark Lincoln all the time. They truly have become family. They are wonderful.

00;37;30;29 - 00;37;48;24

Liv Moods

I said on the last show that I had a issue with my car, and I was just all over the place wedding planning, NBA football. You know, my life right now was just a little crazy, a little busy, and I was like, I don't have time to drive to the dealership and get this car fixed. I just don't like it is what it is.

00;37;48;27 - 00;38;05;25

Liv Moods

Immediately texting me, how can we how can we help? We want to come to your house. If you're within our range, we'll come to your house. We'll fix the problem right in the driveway and we'll get out of your hair. And they did just that. I mean, service with a smile, fantastic people. And they're doing something really special and really fantastic this holiday season.

00;38;05;25 - 00;38;14;06

Liv Moods

So let's check out. They drive. It's called they're calling it drive for a cause. Let's see what it's all about.

00;38;14;08 - 00;38;20;14

Speaker 2

At Landmark Lincoln we've been serving Colorado families for generations, but what matters most is giving back.

00;38;20;14 - 00;38;27;07

Liv Moods

This November and December, $250 from every car sold will go towards Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.

00;38;27;11 - 00;38;30;13

Speaker 2

Together we can find cures for childhood cancer.

00;38;30;13 - 00;38;33;17

Liv Moods

One car, one family, one cure at a time.

00;38;33;19 - 00;38;35;15

Speaker 2

Let's drive hope forward. Colorado.

00;38;35;19 - 00;38;40;01

Liv Moods

Every mile matters.

00;38;40;04 - 00;39;15;08

Liv Moods

You. Absolutely amazing. $250 for every car sold is going towards childhood cancer research. I mean, fantastic, I love working with these people. They're fantastic. They're wonderful. And my car is even more fantastic and even more wonderful. So couldn't recommend you guys stopping by and checking them out enough. That being said, Driven Opinions is the next segment where, you know, I take a back seat, the back seat, a hot seat, all gas, no brakes on hot takes, but this time instead of Andy coming up with some questions, I went ahead and I asked Instagram.

00;39;15;08 - 00;39;36;13

Liv Moods

I went on my Instagram. So if you guys don't follow me there at Live Moods, we'll try to do this a little bit more. And I gave people the opportunity to ask me whatever they want, whatever they want. And so let's get into driven opinions driven by landmark latest.

00;39;36;16 - 00;39;57;04

Liv Moods

Alrighty. Let's get into question number one. I believe we have five. So let's get into the first one. Why is Marvin Mims not being used enough? Here's the deal guys. I think we have we have trust issues with the special teams. And he's a big part of that. And I'm not saying he's the problem, but I think there's been a lot of trust issues.

00;39;57;06 - 00;40;16;26

Liv Moods

Just trust issues. And I don't want to go as far to say that, I mean, I know for a fact Sean Payton likes Marvin Mims. Otherwise I don't think he would be here. I think he's he's very fond of him. So to answer your question, you know, I'm not sure. I think there is an element of stubbornness.

00;40;16;28 - 00;40;44;06

Liv Moods

That kind of takes place here. Takes form when it comes to who gets used and how. As we know, Sean Payton has his vision. And, his way of going about things. And I think there's another question in here that that will kind of correlate with this. I don't I don't know if we have properly utilized Marvin Mims the way that he should be utilized.

00;40;44;08 - 00;41;03;29

Liv Moods

So I think when, you know, you can look at this Broncos team and you look at Marvin Min's Mims, you kind of want to invest more of your time and attention to maybe, I don't know, building up chemistry between Evan Ingram and Bo Nix. You know, because we see flashes of greatness there. Courtland Sutton exceptionally reliable finding ways to utilize Troy Franklin stretch out the field.

00;41;04;01 - 00;41;32;01

Liv Moods

But you kind of forget about a guy like Marvin Mims, which is exceptionally disappointing. Because he is absolutely under utilized and underused. There's a lot of ways you can get Marvin Mims involved that I think would add some electricity to this offense. That kind of leads me to another question that we were asked. Andy, I don't know if you labeled them or, you know, where that question is regarding the the play calling.

00;41;32;01 - 00;41;57;23

Liv Moods

Did I send you that one? Okay. There was another question we got. I didn't send this one to Andy. There was another question. We got where somebody asked, do you still believe that Sean Payton should give up the play calling duties? And despite us seeing little moments right where we're like, okay, the offense just did something there. My favorite moments by Bo Nix are the unscripted ones that probably have very little to do with Sean Payton.

00;41;57;25 - 00;42;12;12

Liv Moods

So watching Marvin Mims be criminally underutilized and watching My Favorite Moments by Bo Nix being the ones that aren't scripted, where he just gets to be an athlete.

00;42;12;14 - 00;42;38;14

Liv Moods

I think that answers the question there. Yeah, I think the play calling absolutely still needs work. Of course, of course. And so yeah, I don't, I don't know. And maybe they're just kind of keeping him on the back burner. You know, he's that secret weapon that we find a way to utilize in the playoffs. But my God, it's like there's a lot of times where the game feels like it's slipping away.

00;42;38;14 - 00;42;55;20

Liv Moods

And I feel like if you utilize Marvin Mims the right way, you could get out of him some pretty great stuff. So, you know, maybe, maybe there's some reservation him coming back from an injury, maybe he's more injured than we thought he was. When he was out. But I don't know, I, I this is a very fair question.

00;42;55;20 - 00;43;18;13

Liv Moods

And frankly, I don't have an answer because I don't agree with it. In the same ways that I don't agree with the play calling 80% of the time. So do I think there's still an element of stubbornness where Sean Payton is going to do things his way regardless? Of course I do, of course. So I think this unfortunately, you know, Marvin Mims might be collateral damage.

00;43;18;16 - 00;43;42;19

Liv Moods

I think this is a sleeper. This is a guy that you've got you've got on this team that I don't think you're taking full advantage of. You're not capitalizing off of Marvin Mims in the ways that you should. So I don't really have a why an answer to the why? Because I'm just as confused as you are. But I certainly think it is criminal how we are not utilizing Marvin Mims 100%.

00;43;42;25 - 00;44;06;04

Liv Moods

It's criminal. Truly. Okay, next question. We've got four more my go to cheat meal. Let me make it very clear here, guys. Most of my meals are cheat meals. Yeah. I got to be honest with you for a second. My love language is food. I love food, I love to eat. My fiance and I spend a lot of time eating out at restaurants.

00;44;06;04 - 00;44;27;22

Liv Moods

That is like that. That's our bonding. Like, we love finding new restaurants and eating good food. I love to eat, I do. And so the reason that I go to hot yoga as much as I go to hot yoga is because I like to eat whatever the f I want. It's true. There's obviously an element of balance, right?

00;44;27;22 - 00;44;49;04

Liv Moods

I've learned a thing or two about portion control. I've learned to cut back on alcohol a time or two. I've learned, you know, to make, you know, if we go to In and Out and I didn't work out, it's like, let me get it protein style instead of getting the bun. You know, I make decisions every so often that make me feel better about consuming the food that I consume, but the reality of it is, every meal is a cheat meal.

00;44;49;04 - 00;45;08;19

Liv Moods

I actually, I don't even believe in cheat meals. I believe in eating what you want to eat, fueling your body. And that's what I do. And sometimes the fuel looks like 1 a.m. McDonald's. That's my life. Back off. How about that? I get to eat whatever I want, but then I know that the next day I need to get up and I need to get active, because that probably wasn't the best thing for my body.

00;45;08;21 - 00;45;27;27

Liv Moods

Yeah, and I actually wouldn't put that in the fuel category. No, no, no, that was me watching a late night mukbang and not being able to get it out of my head. And so now I've got to order it. It's true, sometimes I have no self-control. It is what it is. But I would say my favorite like bad unhealthy meal.

00;45;27;29 - 00;45;52;22

Liv Moods

I am a sucker, guys. I am a and see, I don't even think people would consider this a cheat meal necessarily lately. I really dig a Qdoba burrito bowl. I got to be honest, I could mess those up on a daily basis. The other day I had a really large sweet tooth, which I don't get often for a Cinnabon cinnamon roll, so I ordered a pack of six.

00;45;52;24 - 00;46;11;22

Liv Moods

I did, I had it delivered right to my house, and I warmed it up, and it was the best thing I've ever had in my life. So, I'm on a kick right now of dumplings. Nana's dimsum. Dumplings. Really, really dig those. But I would say for the most part, anything like Mexican food, like a burrito, chips and queso, chips and guac.

00;46;11;22 - 00;46;34;29

Liv Moods

That you. Yeah, I'm. I'm with it. But again, I just I don't discriminate. I really love all food. I do, except for mushrooms. I don't like mushrooms, but that's it. Okay. Next. The more you know, next next. Oh yes. Here it is. Here's the question. Okay. Do the Broncos still need someone else calling the plays for offense?

00;46;34;29 - 00;46;59;25

Liv Moods

Yes they do, yes they do. And you can go ahead and credit that to one simple fact. And that is the criminal under usage of Marvin Mims is example numero uno. You know, the fact that Bo Nix plays his best football when it's unscripted. Booyah. There you go. I still don't feel like Bo Nix is being utilized in the correct way.

00;46;59;27 - 00;47;21;03

Liv Moods

I don't. So yes, short answer I would like to see what it looks like to have somebody else calling the plays. I would I would like to see that for a game. Do I think we will see it? I don't I don't know, I don't think so, but I would like to see it. Okay. Question for fave TV shows.

00;47;21;06 - 00;47;43;15

Liv Moods

This is going to probably sound a little concerning. But don't read too much into it. Anything crime? I love a crime show. I love a crime documentary. I love a thriller where they've got to catch the bad guy I love. That's like almost all. I watch that and like, occasionally some reality TV. Like, I love watching the Housewives go out.

00;47;43;15 - 00;48;06;16

Liv Moods

Grown adult women fighting like teenagers. Like something about it. Love it. It's it's chef's kiss. But for the most part, a crime thriller really, really does something for me. I studied criminal justice, actually, in college. I have a criminal justice minor, so I spent four years studying criminal justice pretty frequently and pretty heavily. It has always intrigued me.

00;48;06;16 - 00;48;40;11

Liv Moods

It has always interested me so, yeah, anything crime thriller that I'm a crime junkie, for sure. For sure. So, right now they've TV show. We're kind of in that, like, middle spot where we're, like, waiting for the next season of some of these shows that we really like. But if I had to pick, like, overall, I would either do Desperate Housewives again, a classic, or like Law and Order SVU.

00;48;40;13 - 00;48;56;11

Liv Moods

That's like a good background noise show for me where I can just turn it on and get things done. And like, I really love those kinds of shows. So those are I'm going to go, those are my two faves, but I've watched them top to bottom many, many, many, many, many times before. I don't know what just happened to that TV guys.

00;48;56;11 - 00;49;18;14

Liv Moods

Sorry about that. Okay, let's move on. Last question here. And that is thoughts on adolescence coaching. Lots of fans are turning on him. Guys relax. You've got two starters out. You know what I mean. They're 15 and six with two of their most valuable players out I think you got to I think we got to take a deep breath.

00;49;18;19 - 00;49;40;24

Liv Moods

It's very very easy. Now if Adelman had a full starting five, everyone's healthy and we're losing to the Dallas Mavericks. Yeah. Maybe time to start looking and going. This isn't working. But he's got two of the most valuable players on this team out with injury. So you have to be patient with this process. Unfortunately, we know what Adelman has done.

00;49;40;24 - 00;50;00;10

Liv Moods

We know what Adelman did when he stepped in for Coach Malone last season, just ahead of the playoffs. I mean, I think this is a coach that understands his players, his players understand him, and I think we have to also, you know what? I'm really not sure what's going on right there, guys. We have some weird things happening right there.

00;50;00;12 - 00;50;19;28

Liv Moods

I'm not sure who's controlling this TV, but yeah, the TV's possessed. I don't I don't really know. What's happening? But anyway, Yeah. So I would say we got to be patient with this process. We have to be patient with this process. We're missing Aaron Gordon. We know the value he brings. He's kind of the glue that holds everything together.

00;50;19;28 - 00;50;37;10

Liv Moods

And then you're missing Christian Brown. A guy that is very dangerous in transition. Plays really tough. I just I think that it's we're jumping the gun. If we're already calling for Adelman to have his job at risk, they're 15 and six, okay? They've lost six games on the season. I don't think it's time to hit the panic button just yet.

00;50;37;10 - 00;50;59;14

Liv Moods

Certainly not as it pertains to David Adelman. So there's my answer there. Okay. I think that was all of the questions. And now we're just going to wrap things up really quickly with a little love languages betting segment. But really not so much even talking betting more. So just kind of walking through some of the games that have quite a few stipulations attached to them.

00;50;59;16 - 00;51;25;27

Liv Moods

And mean quite a bit. This weekend you've got Steelers at Ravens. What an interesting year it's been for this division. I mean, the Ravens were a favorite at one point to win this division with three wins under their belt. I mean it was it was really anybody's game. And this weekend will be very interesting because you've got Lamar Jackson who's been battling a lot of injury related things, and Aaron Rodgers as well.

00;51;25;29 - 00;51;47;05

Liv Moods

Both of these teams kind of fighting to be at the top of their division. So it's a divisional game. You always know that. Those are a little dicey, a little messy. I look I look to the Ravens in this one, mostly because I'm slightly a hater, and I have a ticket that says that the Steelers will not make the playoffs this year.

00;51;47;08 - 00;52;07;05

Liv Moods

So I kind of need the Steelers to lose, actually. But I think it's this is going to be a very interesting one. Both quarterbacks a little banged up. Both teams have had kind of a dip in their defense. It's going to be an interesting matchup here. But again division division matchup both fighting for that top spot in this division.

00;52;07;05 - 00;52;36;10

Liv Moods

So there's some stipulations there. Colts at Jags is another one. And here's the deal. As much as I love the Colts at the start of the season and thought that they had a lot of exciting things on their side, they've just lost momentum. And I think the Jags have found a little bit. And that to me is the edge in this game is that one team found their groove and the other team lost it Eileen Jags in this one.

00;52;36;10 - 00;52;58;29

Liv Moods

But that being said I also have the Jags winning this division. So selfishly I'd like to see it happen. The Colts to me are an interesting one because it's like they got hot and stayed hot way too early. And all these other teams who didn't look that great to begin with have learned from their mistakes and kind of, you know, hit the refresh button and the Colts didn't really have to.

00;52;59;07 - 00;53;24;13

Liv Moods

You don't learn a whole lot when you win. You you learn a lot when you lose. And this Colts team was riding a high for so long that I think they didn't have any reason to look at their season and go, what do we fix? It's like nothing. Keep winning. You're winning. Do your thing. Love it. So I don't I don't know if I would back the Colts moving forward because I just think their momentum has been cut in half.

00;53;24;13 - 00;53;48;24

Liv Moods

And I think a lot of the teams that maybe didn't start the season super great have now made adjustments and learned some hard lessons and gotten better as the season has progressed. I almost feel like we saw the Colts peak at the beginning of the season and slowly but surely they may not even be going down necessarily, but everybody else is going up.

00;53;48;27 - 00;54;10;05

Liv Moods

The Colts started here, everyone else was here. And because the Colts kept winning, they didn't really change a whole lot. And because the other teams were losing, they were figuring out what they needed to change and they've changed it. And now the competition looks a little different. So I think I'd back the Jags here. But both of these teams again the Jags right now are the one seed in this division or they're the best team in this division.

00;54;10;08 - 00;54;33;19

Liv Moods

So this is one of those who wants it bad enough. Who wants it more type of situations okay. I like the Jags I like the Jags I beat the Jags to win this division I need it I need it I need it okay. Bears at Packers. How interesting is this playoff picture you guys. As it stands right now this bears team number one seed in the NFC.

00;54;33;19 - 00;54;54;13

Liv Moods

If they lose they could drop to number seven. Like that one loss could drop the Chicago Bears from the one seed to the seven seed. That is what this playoff picture looks like. It's a madhouse. The one seed in the seven seed right now in the NFC have the same record. It is a madhouse. So the Chicago Bears absolutely need to win this game.

00;54;54;15 - 00;55;21;21

Liv Moods

The Packers also have you know they're their own reasons that they want to win this game. Let me see actually what the NFC looks like right now. Again so strange. So bizarre. If the Chicago Bears being the current one seed in the NFC, if the Chicago Bears lose, they are out. Okay. You've got the green Bay Packers that are eight three and one.

00;55;21;26 - 00;55;45;00

Liv Moods

Chicago is nine and three. So this is a this is a game that matters for both parties here it does. But to go from 1 to 7 like this is crazy. And that does just show how crazy and skewed this playoff picture is both in the NFC and the AFC. So I'm not sure who I feel most comfortable backing to be honest with you.

00;55;45;03 - 00;56;08;05

Liv Moods

You know, it's hard to want to fade the bears because again despite the games maybe looking ugly, they're finding ways to win. And that's a really great trait I talk about all the time with the Denver Broncos, but I don't like underestimating Jordan Love in a must win spot. I don't I really don't, Jordan love to me has that it factor.

00;56;08;05 - 00;56;33;22

Liv Moods

He's shown he can win in in tough games in pressured situations. So I kind of look at the Packers here and I go might be a good spot to back them honestly. And then finally we've got one more game that you might want to keep your eyes out on. And that's the Texans at the Chiefs okay. The Chiefs have had their fair share of struggles and we are going to watch on Monday the Eagles versus the Chargers.

00;56;33;24 - 00;56;42;27

Liv Moods

Feel like the Chargers and the Chiefs right now kind of battling it out for that. Number two spot in the AFC West. The Texans.

00;56;42;29 - 00;57;06;13

Liv Moods

I just don't know how the Chiefs will get through this Texans defense. This is the best defense in the league guys. It really, really is I mean red hot. This team is red hot. That being said in a do or die literally this might be the final ticket for the Chiefs. If they want to make the playoffs, this might be it for them.

00;57;06;15 - 00;57;28;02

Liv Moods

Patrick Mahomes. What is that guy capable of when his back is against the wall? We haven't really seen his back against the wall in terms of making the playoffs. We've never had to worry about that. So the version of Patrick Mahomes that we potentially get with his back against the wall scares me, scares me enough to potentially back the Chiefs here.

00;57;28;08 - 00;57;51;26

Liv Moods

But I also look at that Houston defense and I go, oh, though. Sheesh. Yikes. And am I correct in saying and maybe I'm not, but am I correct in saying that C.J. Stroud may be back as she is? C.J. Stroud back in this one?

00;57;51;28 - 00;58;16;29

Liv Moods

Yeah, yeah. I haven't been watching the Texans a ton. Sorry, guys. Haven't really been keeping up with anything but the Broncos. I can't let my brain focus on multiple games, when the Broncos play, but you know this this is a position where C.J. Stroud getting a win in Arrowhead. I've never felt more comfortable than with the defense he's got backing him and the struggling that we've seen from the Chiefs.

00;58;17;02 - 00;58;43;21

Liv Moods

That being said, this is this is a new territory of Patrick Mahomes playing football with his back against the wall with the with the playoffs at stake, not the Super Bowl the playoffs at stake. Ooh I don't know I I've I've watched C.J. Stroud in Arrowhead before and I didn't hate it. And I think he's got better protection this time around.

00;58;43;24 - 00;59;03;12

Liv Moods

And this defense is the best in the league I don't know I don't know I it's hard to fade Patrick Mahomes in a do or die spot. But I also don't feel like fading the Texans either. So I'm gonna I'm going to take the Chiefs at face value. What we've seen so far from them this season. And I'm going to say the Texans get the job done.

00;59;03;15 - 00;59;29;17

Liv Moods

But again Patrick Mahomes with his back against the wall I don't know anything could happen. So interesting weekend here. Interesting Sunday slate. There's games that mean more than others. There's playoff implications at stake. It's going to be you know it's going to be crazy. You might see some of the underdogs might be barking, the true favorites. The true contenders may prevail because it's about that time.

00;59;29;17 - 00;59;44;16

Liv Moods

It's about that time in the season where we're going to have to start taking everybody at face value. Whatever we see is what we're going to get, because there's only so many games left for you to prove what you're capable of. We're going to start taking everything at face value. So that's all I've got for you guys today for today's show.

00;59;44;16 - 01;00;01;09
