Tough Truths Around the NFL | GS MoodSwings

Episode Summary

Welcome back to MoodSwings presented by Landmark Lincoln, your new favorite sports therapy show. Injuries aren’t an excuse. The 49ers have proven all season that culture matters more than availability. Kyle Shanahan coached a true “next man up” masterclass. Stars went down, including Kittle in the playoffs, and San Francisco never flinched. If you’re on a 53-man roster, you stay ready. The backlash toward veteran reporter Lynn Jones is everything wrong with sports media. Fifteen seconds of kindness shouldn’t cost someone their credential. She showed humanity in a space that often lacks it. If that offends you, grow up. Despite losing just one home game and being the number one seed, the Broncos are underdogs against Buffalo. I love it. Stop James Cook, embrace the pressure, and play the role of the doubted team that thrives when counted out. AND, Liv has her Where Do We Stand segment with the top 3 people that need to be had a tough conversation with.

Episode Notes

In this episode of MoodSwings with Liv Moods, Liv opens with breaking news surrounding Mike Tomlin stepping down in Pittsburgh and explains why she views it as a power move rather than a failure, even floating the idea of what a pairing with Lamar Jackson could look like. She then highlights the San Francisco 49ers’ ability to overcome injuries, arguing that coaching, culture, and accountability matter more than ever in today’s NFL. Liv also defends journalist Lynn Jones after her compassionate exchange with Jaguars coach Liam Cohen went viral, calling out the industry for mistaking humanity for unprofessionalism. The show shifts to the Denver Broncos’ upcoming playoff matchup against Buffalo, where Liv lays out a clear game plan centered on stopping James Cook, trusting Denver’s defense, and finally committing to the run game under Sean Payton. She closes with her “Tough Conversation Time” segment, questioning the double standard surrounding Justin Herbert, evaluating AJ Brown’s public frustrations and costly mistakes, and making the case that it may finally be time for Aaron Rodgers to step away before his legacy is further diminished.

Liv Moods

Welcome into another episode of Mood Swings with Liv moods I'm Liv moods and as always, this is presented by Landmark Lincoln. Shout out to our friends over at Landmark Lincoln. Make sure you head to their location off of Bellevue and Broadway to figure out why. They have been the number one Lincoln dealer in Colorado for as long as they have.

00;00;26;04 - 00;00;46;15

Liv Moods

I say it every show, but I am the proud new owner of a 2025 Lincoln Nautilus and could not love my car more. So, like I said, head to their location, check out their vehicles, and potentially join the landmark Lincoln family. As I have enough about cars. Let's get into the show. Much to discuss now that Wild Card Weekend has officially concluded.

00;00;46;15 - 00;01;08;08

Liv Moods

We normally do this show on Mondays, but I wanted to figure out what that Texans Steelers game was going to look like before we had our show, so that we could talk about that, and now talk about what the playoff picture will look like moving forward. Here's the deal. Just in breaking as of today, Mike Tomlin has decided to step down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

00;01;08;08 - 00;01;27;26

Liv Moods

And you know why I love this so much I'm going to tell you why I love this so much. There has been a lot of discourse around Mike Tomlin and whether or not he should be fired. I think if you are a coach that has never had a losing record in the NFL with a record of 193, one, 14 and two over 19 seasons, he has never had a losing record.

00;01;28;02 - 00;01;51;11

Liv Moods

You should never be in conversation, in my humble opinion, to be fired from a franchise that for 19 seasons you never had a losing record with. Okay, so I love this this boss move of Mike Tomlin, right? I think he could he could tell there was discourse happening. He could tell that fans were frustrated, maybe even the front office starting to question whether or not Mike Tomlin should stay or should go.

00;01;51;13 - 00;02;17;10

Liv Moods

Mike Tomlin choosing to step down rather than being fired is just him kind of claiming his legacy and saying no, you will not fire me. I am a winning head coach and have been for 19 seasons. And maybe he also believes that it's time for he and the Steelers to go their separate ways. So I love that he did this because he informed them he is walking away rather than waiting for them to inform him.

00;02;17;15 - 00;02;35;24

Liv Moods

Imagine being pulled into an office and being fired. And you've never had a losing season for 19 seasons as the head coach, right? And you've had 1,000,001 quarterback changes. I just can't imagine a world where Mike Tomlin would have been okay with that. I mean, I think naturally there's a large part of football has to do with ego.

00;02;35;24 - 00;02;51;22

Liv Moods

And these are grown men, right? With egos. I think that's that's naturally a part of the game. But a coach like Mike Tomlin should just never be in conversation to be fired, in my humble opinion. So love that he chose to step down. And honest to goodness, you guys, I don't know, I don't know, maybe this is a hot take.

00;02;51;22 - 00;03;11;26

Liv Moods

I don't think it is. I don't think it's an unpopular opinion, but I would love nothing more than to see Lamar Jackson with a head coach like Mike Tomlin. I mean, my God, are you kidding me? Let's get Mike Tomlin to Baltimore ASAP. When the Baltimore Ravens fired Harbaugh, that was their choice. And them kind of taking a stance on we're choosing our quarterback over our head coach.

00;03;11;26 - 00;03;32;05

Liv Moods

Right there was discourse in Baltimore. Is it Lamar. Is he the problem. Is it Harbaugh. Is he the problem. The Baltimore Ravens made it clear they are investing in Lamar Jackson. If somebody's got to go it's got to be Harbaugh. Imagine Mike Tomlin with a quarterback like Lamar Jackson. Oh my gosh I'm already placing my futures bets I sure am.

00;03;32;08 - 00;03;49;09

Liv Moods

But I love this. I would love to see Mike Tomlin and Lamar Jackson together. I think that is a quarterback head coach duo. That would just be magic. Magic. It's what the league needs. I'm going to be honest. I needed to happen. I don't know who has to arrange it. Baltimore. I hope you're already making the call.

00;03;49;11 - 00;04;05;17

Liv Moods

If you're not, I'll make it for you. Okay? I think it's great. So shout out Mike Tomlin. Shout out to, Lamar Jackson. We'll get into that. Steelers Texans game in just a little bit later on in the show, but wanted to at least bring that up because it was breaking news as of today. I want to talk a little bit about this 40 Niners team.

00;04;05;19 - 00;04;31;09

Liv Moods

And what they are proving to be very, very true, across this league is that injuries can maybe never, ever be an excuse again. What we've seen out of this 40 Niners team is exceptional. Not only did they make the playoffs, but they beat the defending Super Bowl champions in the wild card weekend. And did so with one of their best players tearing his Achilles in that game.

00;04;31;09 - 00;04;51;23

Liv Moods

Not only did they deal with injuries all season long, they continue to deal with them in that very game and still managed to find a way to win. Having injuries on your roster just no longer carries the same weight that it used to. Given what we just saw from the San Francisco 40 Niners and Kyle Shanahan, that might have been a solidification of coach of the year.

00;04;51;23 - 00;05;09;20

Liv Moods

That was a coach of the year type of game by Kyle Shanahan. The way in which that game was called was the reason that the 40 Niners won that game, amongst some issues by the Philadelphia Eagles. But really, you don't win that game given the injuries. You don't even make the playoffs. Frankly, given the injuries that this team has faced, if you don't have a good head coach, coaching matters.

00;05;09;20 - 00;05;34;26

Liv Moods

We know this to be true. Injuries to stars all season long. This 40 Niners team has had to deal with. Never once did they flinch all season. No matter who went out. Never once did they flinch. So not only is Kyle Shanahan doing an exceptional job of calling a game that can work around your stars being injured, still find ways to win, make the playoffs, advance to the second round of the playoffs.

00;05;34;29 - 00;06;01;08

Liv Moods

But there's also clearly a really great winning culture that is that is going on in this locker room and on this team, right where it's that next man up mentality. The 40 Niners have been an injured roster for the last few seasons. It's been pretty devastating to watch them just constantly struggle with this issue, but to watch them not flinch and continue to rise to the occasion, continue to win, continue to make the playoffs despite the injuries to their stars.

00;06;01;08 - 00;06;20;17

Liv Moods

We're not talking injuries to just anybody. To their stars. Brock Purdy out for a large chunk of this season right. You get injuries to Nick Bosa George Kittle Christian McCaffrey. They've seen it all on this team. Pearsall. Every guy that's that's you know a star that brings the most value to the squad at one point or another has dealt with injuries.

00;06;20;19 - 00;06;51;18

Liv Moods

What I love about this 40 Niners team is they are clearly training that next man up mentality. I'm a firm believer of this is the NFL. This is the highest level of football. Every 53 man roster that has been built is some of the best of the best. Otherwise you wouldn't be on a 53 man roster. So it's hard for me sometimes to excuse when teams are injured and that next man has to be up them significantly tanking and having this god awful season, because these are all the best of the best.

00;06;51;18 - 00;07;07;22

Liv Moods

This is still the NFL. I don't care if you're a star. I don't care what kind of a contract you have. I don't care how much you get paid. I don't care how much you usually do or don't play. This is still the National Football League. You are one of the best. So next man up is something that actually is like in the culture.

00;07;07;22 - 00;07;24;19

Liv Moods

It's an energy that has to be felt in the locker room, right? Even if you're not playing, you still have to feel like you're valuable and you bring something to the table. And I think if you're getting that confidence pushed into you all season long, even if you're not on the field, then when it is time for you to step up and rise to the occasion, you're prepared.

00;07;24;19 - 00;07;43;20

Liv Moods

So I want to give some accolades to Kyle Shanahan and the culture that he's creating in San Francisco. I think it's exceptional. I think what we watch from them again, one of the best games by Kyle Shanahan so far, maybe ever, in order to win that game, you had to have a culture established that they believed in themselves, you believed in them.

00;07;43;27 - 00;08;00;18

Liv Moods

And that's exactly what we saw. So. So I'm a huge fan of what's going on with the 40 niners right now. Just all things considered, they really have not flinched once this season and that could be what carries them throughout the playoffs. Honest to goodness. So shout out to them. All of these players on this 53 man roster are ready for their moment.

00;08;00;22 - 00;08;19;10

Liv Moods

They've been ready for their moment. And when the moment came, they took it. And and they did what they needed to do to win this football game. They deserve all the credit for that really quickly. I want to flash back to a couple of days ago, I took to my to my ex account, and I talked a little bit about this, and the tweet kind of went viral because my statement was very, very simple.

00;08;19;10 - 00;08;43;20

Liv Moods

If you guys did not see it. Lynn Jones of the Free Press of Jacksonville took about 15 seconds, literally. That was all 15 to 30s to express some kindness to, the Jacksonville head coach in a moment of him, you know, freshly being eliminated from playoff contention despite a great season. You know, it was a moment that was just very human.

00;08;43;22 - 00;09;02;17

Liv Moods

Give me two seconds, you guys. I want to make sure that I get this right. She has been with the Free Press of Jacksonville for about 20 something years. It's been a very long time. It is a black free press, actually, which you love to see. Right? I mean, to to to even have that aspect of it.

00;09;02;17 - 00;09;28;00

Liv Moods

I didn't I didn't want to bring that up because that's not why this situation frustrated me. It wouldn't have mattered who she worked for, the situation, the backlash lash that she faced, regardless, was frustrating. But if you didn't see it, Lynn Jones of the Free Press of Jacksonville took 15 to 30s to express, you know, gratitude to Liam Cohen and everything he did this season and, and just kind of let him know you should be proud of yourself.

00;09;28;00 - 00;09;57;27

Liv Moods

Congratulations on the season. Don't be too hard on yourself. You should. You have a lot that you should be proud of, blah, blah, blah blah. Right. Great moment, beautiful moment. The second that I watched that on my timeline, I was like, I love stuff like this, I love it. So to then go on to another social media platform and to see the amount of discourse that was happening, most embarrassingly so from fellow sports reporters calling for this woman's credential to be revoked, saying that she was unprofessional.

00;09;57;27 - 00;10;27;16

Liv Moods

This was not the time, nor the place. The best part about this is I don't even need to name drop you girl, because you know who you are. One of the sports reporters who covers the Steelers, who had so much to say about Lynn Jones and how inappropriate and unprofessional she acted with Liam Cohen in this Moment of Kindness, was the very reporter that took time out of a presser to ask Aaron Rodgers about his wedding band and whether or not he was or wasn't married, whether or not he got married in the offseason or he didn't.

00;10;27;18 - 00;10;50;04

Liv Moods

So you had the audacity to call out Lynn Jones for being unprofessional and for using time in a presser to ask and talk about the wrong things, but you chose to be like a golden bachelor fan and ask Aaron Rodgers what was up with his wedding band girl, sit down immediately. Sit down. We're not doing this, okay? It is so embarrassing to me.

00;10;50;04 - 00;11;11;10

Liv Moods

And this is the very problem within society. It is so embarrassing to me that we were so offended and pressed by kindness. This woman took 15 to 30s and before you get in an uproar, maybe do your research. This is someone who works for the Free Press of Jacksonville, meaning she doesn't just cover this team on whether or not they win or lose football games.

00;11;11;10 - 00;11;36;01

Liv Moods

She's a member of this community. She's covering stories that go deeper than the game of football. It's not about wins and losses. So she got her credential deservingly so however she got her credential is frankly, none of your business. She got it. She was in the room. She chose to take a moment to be a human and speak to another human who she's covered day in and day out, not just in regards to football, but the community of Jacksonville.

00;11;36;03 - 00;12;02;27

Liv Moods

Okay. And she chose to take a moment to express gratitude and have a human interaction with Liam Cohen. God forbid. Right? God forbid. And honestly, the reaction by many of these sports reporters who were engaging in this discourse and were so frustrated and so appalled by what she did, calling for her credential to be revoked. You're the reason that the athletes don't f with us because you forget these are human beings.

00;12;02;29 - 00;12;24;00

Liv Moods

You care more about being the viral voice behind a really rude and condescending question than you do about being the viral voice behind a human interaction of kindness. My God, we are so backwards. This is what is wrong with our society. We're offended by kindness. My God, the bar is low, guys. We're like, we're really struggling as a group here.

00;12;24;03 - 00;12;49;12

Liv Moods

If this is what we choose to be upset about, we are working ourselves up over this woman's credential. How did she get it? It needs to be taken away. So unprofessional, so uncalled for. This is what we call reporters nowadays. Yeah. I'm actually feeling really refreshed that not all reporters are soul sucking individuals. They just want a viral moment for being like, weird and rude and disrespectful and forgetting that there's a human behind the athlete.

00;12;49;12 - 00;13;18;09

Liv Moods

I would much rather have 400,000 Lyn Joneses than half of the reporters out there that just want that moment to be weird. Rude. You know? I find it more unprofessional to be the person that's asking question. I mean, what what did you want to hear out of Liam Cohen in that moment? Because frankly, there's a lot of times in these post-game pressers after a coach has been eliminated from playoff contention that I'm sitting there going, we're asking really obvious questions.

00;13;18;09 - 00;13;38;15

Liv Moods

What went wrong? I'm pretty sure most of us knew what went wrong. Right. Where do you go from here? Not a whole lot. You can do in this moment, right? You just got eliminated. I mean, this was such a human moment that we need more of to be completely honest and those of you in an uproar are the reason that we struggle to find connections with athletes a lot of the time.

00;13;38;15 - 00;14;01;25

Liv Moods

And they just feel exhausted by speaking with us, and they don't want to speak with us any longer because we aren't being human. And I guarantee you, those of you that were in an uproar about what Lynn Jones did and you felt it was unprofessional, I guarantee you, I can already tell by the tone in which you were speaking about Lynn Jones and how just appalled you were.

00;14;01;27 - 00;14;28;18

Liv Moods

I guarantee you coaches and players hate speaking with you, and I guarantee you Lynn Jones just became the most popular reporter in sports because athletes watch that and they go, wow, how refreshing. How refreshing. When Lynn Jones could have asked, hey coach, what did you f up today to end your season? She actually chose to look them in the eyes and say, you should be proud of what you did this season.

00;14;28;21 - 00;14;53;27

Liv Moods

Those of you saying you shouldn't be a fan if you're a sports reporter, I don't think she sounded like a fan. She sounded like a human with a good heart. God forbid. Right? Also, keep in mind she covers Jacksonville. She's a member of this community and has been doing so for 20 some odd years. She's not the analytical sports reporter that needs to know what is what.

00;14;54;00 - 00;15;12;16

Liv Moods

Trevor Lawrence's completion percentage was. She doesn't need to know that that's not her role. So do your research. I saw some of you having to backtrack heavy. Once you found out that she was with the free Press of Jacksonville. And you really got to understand what her job really entailed. Now you're calling for people to support her.

00;15;12;16 - 00;15;36;01

Liv Moods

Shut up. You said enough the first time around. You don't get to keep talking about it. Now, you showed us exactly how you felt about what Lynn Jones did. And boy, was it. Telling to be offended by kindness is exceptionally telling. I got to tell you. And in an embarrassing way, I might add. So let's work on ourselves, guys.

00;15;36;03 - 00;15;58;12

Liv Moods

I mean, Lynn Jones, the last thing I'll say here is that we lack in this society. People like you, so continue to be that person. I found it to be so refreshing and so heartwarming and just exactly what? Not even just a moment that Liam Cohen needed, but kind of a moment we all needed. Like how refreshing to hear some positivity in my feed.

00;15;58;16 - 00;16;19;01

Liv Moods

We rarely get that these days, so continue to be the reporter that you are. And you are a reporter. A damn good one. Okay, you've been doing this job for more years than most of the people that had something to say have even been alive. So continue to be the person that you are. I guarantee you, you're the most popular sports reporter on the planet right now.

00;16;19;05 - 00;16;34;02

Liv Moods

Athletes would probably love to sit down and do an interview with you. Coaches would probably love to speak with you right now. Those of you that are involving yourselves in the discourse and have nothing but negative things to say about Lynn Jones, you're part of the problem. Worry about your own credential. And to the one that had so much to say about Lynn Jones.

00;16;34;05 - 00;16;56;02

Liv Moods

But took time to ask Aaron Rodgers about his wedding band. Girl, sit down quickly, okay? And stay sat. Okay, that is all for now. I just think it's so weird, you guys. It's so weird to me that we have so much negativity over a kind, human moment. It's the weirdest. It is just the weirdest. You guys are the weirdest.

00;16;56;05 - 00;17;13;25

Liv Moods

Those of you that that were anti Lynn Jones, you're just weird. Okay, I want to talk a little bit really quickly, obviously, about the Denver Broncos matchup that they have this coming Saturday not Sunday Saturday okay. They're taking on the Buffalo Bills in a revenge spot. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. Here's the deal.

00;17;14;02 - 00;17;41;00

Liv Moods

Last year the Denver Broncos playoff potential was immediately cut short facing the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen. Here's what I do know. Josh Allen is terrifying. No matter how you look at it, no matter how you spin it. He is that guy. Yeah. And I, I was wrong about the first round. I did think that the Jacksonville Jaguars would be able to, pull out a win there against the Buffalo Bills.

00;17;41;03 - 00;18;09;23

Liv Moods

What we do know for certain is that Josh Allen, this is probably the easiest path to the Super Bowl that he will ever have in his life. So if he can't do it now, I don't know if he ever will. This is his moment. If he's going to make a Super Bowl, it's going to happen this season. But I'm struggling with just how quickly, not just fans, but even the sports books are to write off.

00;18;09;23 - 00;18;34;00

Liv Moods

The Denver Broncos at home. Number one seed in the AFC first round bye. And they were underdogs versus the Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills, who for the last few weeks of the season, we weren't even sure if they were making the playoffs. That Buffalo Bills team interesting. So the disrespect continues, right for the Denver Broncos despite only losing one game at home.

00;18;34;00 - 00;18;55;24

Liv Moods

They're playing at home. They're the number one seed versus the number six seed. They are still the underdogs. And you know what I love to see it. Because as much as the Denver Broncos play down to their opponents, they also play up as well. Their energy matters, which can be very frustrating if they're playing down because you don't know what you're going to get in those games.

00;18;55;26 - 00;19;16;21

Liv Moods

But this is a team that plays their best football, in my humble opinion, when they are doubted, underestimated, trailing under pressure. They've done really well with the narrative that they aren't good enough when they when they feel like people don't think they're good enough, they usually rise to a level that we didn't even know they were capable of.

00;19;16;21 - 00;19;34;16

Liv Moods

So I love it, I love it, and here to me is the game plan. If you're the Denver Broncos right. You got to stop James Cook. We saw what happens when you don't last season. Yep yep. When we face the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs last season we got to find out very quickly how ugly it can get when you don't stop James Cook this season.

00;19;34;16 - 00;19;54;27

Liv Moods

To me, James Cook is the offense of the Buffalo Bills. They don't have a ton of really threatening weapons if you can get a handle on James Cook. And of course Josh Allen will continue to be Josh Allen. I don't even want to say that there's a game plan to stop Josh Allen. You can limit him all you want, but last season when we attempted to limit Josh Allen, guess who popped off James Cook?

00;19;54;28 - 00;20;11;12

Liv Moods

Okay. You kind of got to let Josh Allen be Josh Allen because there really aren't a ton of threatening weapons. They're limited in the weapons department this year offensively. That being said, you do still have James Cook. You have to stop James Cook, and I know a lot of people say, well, the Jacksonville Jaguars couldn't do it. They have one of the best run defenses.

00;20;11;12 - 00;20;27;12

Liv Moods

I just you know I'm having a hard time as well. Even having conversation with people when it's like I don't know man. I'm just I'm down the Broncos. I don't know what we're going to get out of the Broncos this season. You can have your doubts. You can you can feel a little weird about their offense and what you're going to get from that offense.

00;20;27;18 - 00;20;45;22

Liv Moods

But what you're not going to do is pretend like the Denver Broncos defense is an excellent it is okay, and it has been all season long. So we're not going to act like this Denver Broncos team has a defense that like hasn't shown up all year. They have so we do have a defense that is capable of slowing down what Josh Allen has planned and what James Cook is capable of.

00;20;45;22 - 00;21;09;13

Liv Moods

We do that needs to be priority number one. So let's do good news. Bad news here. Good news is the bills have a below average Randy that they do. The bad news is the Broncos don't run the ball. Oops is okay. So good news is the bills don't have any run defense. Bad news is the Broncos don't have any run game.

00;21;09;16 - 00;21;27;03

Liv Moods

Oh okay. So here's where I bring up the whole conspiracy theory that I've created in my head to help cope, which is Sean Payton has not shown us his best play calling yet. Okay. We also know Sean Payton is very stubborn. We also know Sean Payton has very, very large commitment issues to the run game. These are all true facts.

00;21;27;03 - 00;21;48;01

Liv Moods

This is not opinion. This is factual information. He struggles committing to the run game. Oh. If my conspiracy theory holds to be true, though, Sean Payton may have up his sleeve a couple of run plays designed that. We're finally seeing him get people going. JK Dobbins rumored to be potentially back soon. Soon, soon. What does that mean?

00;21;48;01 - 00;22;07;26

Liv Moods

I don't know, okay, soon. He's back. You get JK Dobbins back. It's a completely different situation in terms of this Broncos run game. But you still have people that you can utilize. You still have Jaleel, RJ, Harvey kind of giving you that Joker energy. Marvin Mims same deal. So you have players capable of kind of lighting a fire under this run game's tail.

00;22;07;28 - 00;22;26;00

Liv Moods

Let's do that. Yeah. Especially against a team that doesn't defend the run very well. Hardly at all. Yeah. So this is where I want that creativity from Sean Payton. Do I think he can? Absolutely I do. That's what I'm banking on okay. More good news. Bad news here. Good news is the Broncos want revenge.

00;22;26;02 - 00;22;44;24

Liv Moods

We know what this Broncos team does with a little storyline. When you add extra emotional factors to the equation, this Broncos team, you know they do pretty well. Hence being the number one seed in the AFC and being doubted all season. They do well with this kind of stuff. They like the pressure. The pressure is they want revenge.

00;22;44;24 - 00;23;06;11

Liv Moods

This is their get back. Hopefully. Bad news is Josh Allen wants a Super Bowl. Oh gosh. Broncos want revenge. Josh Allen wants a Super Bowl. And Josh Allen I think maybe knows just like I do. This is his best shot at the Super Bowl. No burrow no Lamar Jackson no Patrick Mahomes. If you're going to do it now's the time.

00;23;06;13 - 00;23;29;10

Liv Moods

Does it terrify you to have a fired up Josh Allen that's hungrier than ever for a Super Bowl. New hot wife bun in the oven. Oh gosh. Are the stars aligning for a Josh Allen. They just might be yeah they just might be. I am not going to go into this game and think this is going to be easy in any way shape or form.

00;23;29;18 - 00;23;53;04

Liv Moods

Okay. Broncos country and you shouldn't either. This is Josh Allen unfortunately. You know on paper a quarterback having just a quarterback. Right. Because the bills have struggled this year. And I'm also not going to allow you guys to have amnesia on that. They lost to the Miami Dolphins. Let you not forget okay. They lost to the Houston Texans who the Broncos beat let you not forget okay.

00;23;53;04 - 00;24;06;17

Liv Moods

So we're not going to act like this. Bills team is perfect. We're not going to act like the Broncos don't stand a chance. If you speak like that. You're weird. And I don't want to associate with you because you're weird and you're just a hater. You're just looking for reasons to be a hater, and I just. I don't have time for it, unfortunately.

00;24;06;17 - 00;24;21;13

Liv Moods

You know, I just don't. So we're not going to have amnesia about the bills struggles this season. We're also not going to have amnesia about all the things the Broncos did really well this season. But we're also not going to have amnesia on is what Josh Allen is capable of. Don't do it.

00;24;21;15 - 00;24;43;26

Liv Moods

You will only end up disappointed if you underestimate this man, I promise. So this is not going to be easy, folks. No no no no no no no no no. That being said, you don't just happen upon the number one seed in the AFC. Stop thinking that please. Would you stop thinking do you just snap your fingers and poof you're there?

00;24;43;28 - 00;25;03;20

Liv Moods

The Denver Broncos had to prove a lot this season in order to make that happen. And they made it happen. So give some damn credit. That's all I ask, okay? Just give some damn credit. It's crazy. I talk to people and it's like they all. It's like they don't even need to know anything about the game. Automatically. The Denver Broncos, whoever they play, whenever they play, they're losing.

00;25;03;22 - 00;25;38;09

Liv Moods

God, it must suck to be such a negative Nancy. Glass half empty little mini pants at all times. Aren't you bored of it? Aren't you sick of being so exhausting? Gosh. Chill out. So anyway, here's the deal. You got to stop James Cook. And you have to with the most swiftness. And in whatever possible way, Sean Payton needs to draw up plays that allow this Broncos team to run the damn football versus a bills team that doesn't stop the run game very well.

00;25;38;09 - 00;25;43;17

Liv Moods

Find a way. Find a way.

00;25;43;20 - 00;26;06;21

Liv Moods

You win this game in two ways. If you're the Denver Broncos, you stop James Cook, who in my opinion is the majority of their offense outside of Josh Allen. And you run the damn ball, period. And if you're Bo Nix, you think like Josh Allen. Because here's the deal Bo. Let the haters run their mouth. You know who you are.

00;26;06;24 - 00;26;28;16

Liv Moods

Sean Payton knows who you are. And Broncos Country knows who you are. You're capable. So channel your inner little Josh Allen vibe. Go toe to toe with this man and you will be just fine. Can we get some designed run plays for Bo? Because we already know what Josh Allen is going to be up to.

00;26;28;18 - 00;26;56;26

Liv Moods

Design run plays for Bo. Run the ball. Period. Just run the damn ball. If you're Bo Nix, run the damn ball if you're Jaleel, run the damn ball, RJ Harvey, run the damn ball and stop James Cook from doing the same. That's the recipe. Okay, guys, you're not gonna. You're not going to. You're not going to act like the Denver Broncos didn't have an elite championship level defense all season long because they did.

00;26;56;28 - 00;27;13;03

Liv Moods

And they still do. So here's the deal. Slip on the Broncos all you want I don't care. You know at the end of the day I am not a naive Broncos fan. I know good and damn well how good Josh Allen can be. Sure do. But I also know good and damn well how good this Broncos team can be.

00;27;13;03 - 00;27;32;08

Liv Moods

So don't get it twisted. This will not be easy for Josh Allen in the Buffalo Bills. This Broncos team is going to put up a fight, and this Broncos team loves that. You continue to underestimate them. And also who knows you know rest versus rust. What are we going to get. We're not sure. But there is a significant rest advantage here for the Denver Broncos.

00;27;32;08 - 00;27;46;11

Liv Moods

That could bode very well for them. They've had some injuries throughout this season right. The Broncos have a massive scheduling advantage over the bills in the divisional round. The Broncos have 13 days from their last game.

00;27;46;14 - 00;28;11;03

Liv Moods

13 days by divisional round game versus the Bills on Saturday. It will have been 13 days, 13 days of rest and practice and creative design plays being run up, design designed, run plays being drawn up 13 days. The bills have only had six. It will have been six days between their last game and this game. The Broncos basically had a bye week.

00;28;11;03 - 00;28;30;26

Liv Moods

The bills had a short week. That's what we're seeing here. Will that work to the Broncos advantage? I actually think yeah probably because the Broncos have been banged up. Get their bodies some rest. Yeah. So we're not going to act like the Broncos don't stand a chance. My god aren't you bored. You've had it. You've been doing that all season.

00;28;30;27 - 00;28;50;15

Liv Moods

Oh oh my God you've been doing that all season. You know you said you said that. You said the Broncos weren't going to win the AFC West. They did. You said that the Broncos should fear the Chargers. I'm not scared. The Chargers are on vacation okay. The Broncos were supposed to fear the Chiefs. Blair.

00;28;50;17 - 00;29;12;04

Liv Moods

Why? Why fear them. They've been they've been out of this conversation for a very long time. Like we're just not going to keep pretending like the Denver Broncos didn't earn what they earned this season. They earned the number one seed in the AFC. So start acting like it. Okay, weirdos. Had enough of you. Shut up. I love telling people to shut up, especially when they need to shut up.

00;29;12;06 - 00;29;29;11

Liv Moods

You know who you are? And guess what? If the Broncos lose, it doesn't erase any of what they did in the regular season to earn the number one seed in the AFC. I hate to break the news to you. They still did their job. Did they not?

00;29;29;13 - 00;29;48;07

Liv Moods

Okay, that's what I thought. There was no Mandela effect on the season. They did what they did. We saw it. We all watched it. Whether you liked it or not. You know, it happened real time. So, you know, we're not going to just dismiss what they did this season just because it doesn't sit well with you just because it's not what you predicted.

00;29;48;10 - 00;30;09;01

Liv Moods

Just because you have to tuck your tail, doesn't mean we're going to erase what the Broncos did this season. They still did it. Thank you so kindly. Let's move on okay. Done. Moving on. Last couple of things I have a little where do we stand? Whoo ooh. Where do we stand. Weekly standings. Yeah. Okay here's what it is this week though I don't know if you guys are going to like this one.

00;30;09;01 - 00;30;31;02

Liv Moods

But you're going to have to. This week's weekly standing is called tough conversation time. Time for a tough convo with these guys. Oh. Yep I've got three three of them. Let's start at number three. You're not gonna like this one. And you know what? I don't care if you do or not, I just don't. This is my weekly standings.

00;30;31;02 - 00;30;51;17

Liv Moods

Where do we stand on the week? And it's tough convo time at three. Who do we need to have a tough convo with? Well, Justin Herbert. Oh, you knew it was coming. Don't act like you're shocked. You're not. There's nothing shocking about what I'm about to say. Nothing. Okay, here's what it is. Time to have a tough convo about Justin Herbert.

00;30;51;20 - 00;31;13;02

Liv Moods

Every year we play the same game. I had a little viral clip go off last week and you guys were pressed. You were in your feelings hard core, which you know I love because what you guys forget a lot of the time is your boost and my engagement. Fighting with yourselves in the comments because I'm not reading them.

00;31;13;04 - 00;31;35;12

Liv Moods

I don't have time for it. I'm not reading your comments. So you are literally fighting with the wall. Imagine this you are facing a wall fighting with it. I'm not even reading the comments guys. You're talking to yourself and I love it. Keep going. It's good. It's good for the engagement. But I talked a little bit about the Justin Herbert, Bo Nix, Ryan and everyone's like, how dare she say I already know?

00;31;35;13 - 00;31;58;20

Liv Moods

How dare she say that Bo Nix is better than Justin Herbert? This is why I don't read the comments, because I never said that. No, I said there was a double standard. I said that a lot of people who are waiting for Bo Nix to prove himself are waiting specifically for the playoffs. They want to see Bo Nix win and advance in the playoff picture.

00;31;58;23 - 00;32;18;15

Liv Moods

They want to see him go far, go the distance in the playoffs before they believe who he is as a quarterback. Why don't we keep that same energy for Justin Herbert? Oh, it's the truth. Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers just got eliminated in the first round. I see very few people placing blame on Justin Herbert himself.

00;32;18;17 - 00;32;41;08

Liv Moods

Quarterbacks are typically the first to blame and the first to celebrate. We don't do that with Justin Herbert, though. We really never have. Back in 2020, it was a coaching problem. In 2021, it was a defense problem. In 2022. It was a play calling problem. 2023. It was a coaching problem again 2024. It was a supporting cast problem.

00;32;41;08 - 00;33;05;28

Liv Moods

And in 2025 it was an injury problem. At what point do we hold Justin Herbert to the same level of scrutiny that we hold every other quarterback that does not prove themselves in the playoffs? That's the argument I hear a lot of you talk about when it comes to Bo Nix. Well, I need to see him actually win a game in the playoffs.

00;33;06;00 - 00;33;25;04

Liv Moods

I need to see him go the distance in the playoffs. But we don't do the same with Justin Herbert. No, it's everybody else's fault. So I'm not saying and let me say this loud and clear, before you even get up in that comment section, make yourself at home and start blabbing about things that I never said. Yeah, you love to do that.

00;33;25;06 - 00;33;45;07

Liv Moods

Here's what I'm gonna make very, very clear. Justin Herbert is a good quarterback. I just don't think he's the guy. You guys are trying to convince us that he is. There's nothing wrong with that. Because if you need Justin Herbert to have a picture perfect system around him in order for him to advance in the playoffs, then is he really that guy?

00;33;45;10 - 00;34;07;21

Liv Moods

Does he really have that it factor? Does he really have that dog in him? If you need a perfect coach, perfect play calling, perfect defense, perfect offensive line, perfect everything in order for him to succeed. Not most quarterbacks in the league don't have perfect systems around them. I talked about this on a live earlier and someone said, well, he had a horrible offensive line.

00;34;07;27 - 00;34;36;29

Liv Moods

Asked Joe Burrows. Back, neck, hips, shoulders, knees, elbows and arms how perfect his O-line has been over the last however many seasons when he's been in MVP contention and made it to a Super Bowl stop it. You can try all you want to tell me that Justin Herbert, it's this problem or this problem. Every quarterback in this league that faces scrutiny for not advancing in the playoffs or making a deep playoff run or not winning a Super Bowl has the same issues around them.

00;34;36;29 - 00;34;59;05

Liv Moods

There is no picture perfect team or roster. And just so you know, the San Francisco 40 Niners just proved injuries cannot be an excuse anymore. They can't. The Denver Broncos couldn't use Pat certain being out as an excuse. They had to figure it out Brandon Jones goes out. That was a huge loss for the Denver Broncos. They had to figure it out.

00;34;59;08 - 00;35;15;19

Liv Moods

So I struggle only with the fact that we just don't hold Justin Herbert to the same level of scrutiny as we hold every other quarterback. Like I said, the quarterback position being the most important, we are the first to blame and the first to celebrate a quarterback. Depending on how their season pans out. We don't do that with Justin Herbert, though.

00;35;15;26 - 00;35;30;27

Liv Moods

We just say, woe is Justin. We need to get him in a better system. Okay, so if we get him on it because we got him a new coach, that was the problem, right? He just needs a better coach. Staley is awful. I agree he was. But then you get him a better coach and we're still here. First round exits.

00;35;30;27 - 00;35;55;08

Liv Moods

Bye bye. So at what point do we say he's a good quarterback. But he's not that guy. He doesn't have that. It factor that we all thought he had. That's all I'm saying. So don't miss. Hear me? I'm not saying Bo Nix is better. I'm not saying Justin Herbert isn't good. I'm saying it's time to up the scrutiny on Justin Herbert and keep it the same that you keep it for every other quarterback in this league.

00;35;55;10 - 00;36;18;25

Liv Moods

Because if we're going off of playoffs, who shows up? Who wins games? Backs against the wall? Which quarterbacks rise to the occasion? Justin Herbert simply isn't one of them. No offense, but that's the fact. So I digress. Moving on at two. Where do we stand for tough combo time? It's AJ Brown. Oh my gosh you knew this was coming.

00;36;19;00 - 00;36;39;13

Liv Moods

Here's a really, really unfortunate situation with AJ Brown I love AJ Brown. I love the way he advocates for mental health. I love the way he shows honesty. I love the player that he is. I defend AJ Brown. I believed to my core that AJ Brown deserved better and I still do in so many ways, right? He deserves better.

00;36;39;16 - 00;36;59;20

Liv Moods

You don't go from being a standout wide receiver in this league. One of the best to just kind of a no name because your offense isn't utilizing you. Do I understand and sympathize with some of AJ Brown's frustrations this season? Yes, absolutely. I do. However.

00;36;59;23 - 00;37;27;00

Liv Moods

If you're going to complain, if you're going to let it be known that you're frustrated about not getting the ball, make it very obvious that you are not seeing eye to eye with either your offensive coordinator or the coaches, or whatever the case, AJ Brown has not strayed away one time this season from expressing frustrations he didn't last year either.

00;37;27;02 - 00;37;45;15

Liv Moods

If you're going to complain, pout a little bit. Show the world how frustrated you are about not getting the ball, and then get the ball in a must win game and drop it.

00;37;45;18 - 00;38;17;13

Liv Moods

I love AJ Brown, but you can't defend that that that's simply you express frustrations. You wanted change. You got change. You didn't hold up your end of the deal. This is a tough spot and I fear I'm pretty confident. That was the last time you see AJ Brown as a Philadelphia Eagle. Because this this is irreversible damage. Now you've kind of taken a lot of the interpersonal locker room issues and made them public, which is, you know, in itself a little bit of a liability, right?

00;38;17;13 - 00;38;24;22

Liv Moods

You're exposing the vulnerabilities and the weaknesses of your team. Not a great thing to do as a leader.

00;38;24;25 - 00;38;37;02

Liv Moods

You're expressing you don't see eye to eye with your coordinator. You get in a verbal altercation with your coaches for the world to see.

00;38;37;04 - 00;38;48;08

Liv Moods

Then you drop the ball in a must win game on a must a must catch play.

00;38;48;11 - 00;39;14;15

Liv Moods

Yeah, I think for the sake of his career and for the sake of the Philadelphia Eagles, it's time to part ways. And I hope for the sake of AJ Brown, because I am a fan of his, that whatever team he goes to next is much improved for him. But this is maybe a learning lesson, which is be careful how much you speak because words matter.

00;39;14;17 - 00;39;28;13

Liv Moods

Social media is forever. There are receipts of you implying you wanted the ball more than you get the ball in. A must win must catch moment and you drop it.

00;39;28;16 - 00;39;48;17

Liv Moods

No no no no no no. I just don't know if there's any recovering from this and staying in Philadelphia. I think it's in both parties best interests to part ways right. We've heard from AJ Brown in postgame pressers in the locker room following games when he's frustrated when he drops a ball in a must win game, we don't hear from him.

00;39;48;20 - 00;40;04;08

Liv Moods

It's hard to defend that. This is a leader. This is a guy we all want to see thrive. But he's he's making it tough in this moment. So I want for him the very best. I want for the Philadelphia Eagles the very best. This is a business right. There's going to be some business decisions that are made in the off season.

00;40;04;08 - 00;40;28;18

Liv Moods

And I think the main priority for Philly will be getting AJ Brown out of Philadelphia. For the sake of both parties. Let me make it clear this is also for the benefit of AJ Brown as well okay okay. Finally, number one on my Tough Convos list Mr. Aaron Rodgers. And here it is. It's time my guy. It's time.

00;40;28;20 - 00;40;50;10

Liv Moods

It's been time. By the way I have been one of the people in this space that has pushed for Aaron Rodgers retirement for many seasons. Actually the moment he declared he was leaving green Bay, I said retire, just retire. Don't ruin this for yourself. Just retire. Okay. Then he goes to the Jets. First play, first game of the season.

00;40;50;13 - 00;41;08;06

Liv Moods

Achilles done guys. That to me felt like a little bit of a sign from God. Like, all right, maybe it's not you know, in the cards for me, my body is literally, quite literally letting me know that.

00;41;08;09 - 00;41;47;12

Liv Moods

We're wrapping things up. But no, he tried it again. The Jets season miserable. Then he goes to the Steelers, tries again. First round exit. So I just think it's time. And it's been time to be honest with you. This is the one thing I was really worried about. This is what I was worried about with him continuing to to push things, to push the limits and and to chase another championship and to hop around to different teams until he gets that, you know, that final thing he was looking for, which I think is probably another super Bowl ring, because it doesn't make sense to most of us that the legendary Aaron Rodgers only has

00;41;47;12 - 00;42;10;11

Liv Moods

one Super Bowl win. He's better than that, right I get it, it's frustrating, but there are a lot of all time greats that retire from this game. They don't have a single Super Bowl ring to show for it, and it sucks. These are competitive creatures with ego as well. I think that's part of the game of sports is have a little bit of ego.

00;42;10;14 - 00;42;29;19

Liv Moods

Aaron Rodgers is like, job's not done. I've got more in me and I believe that he probably has some more. But I also believe the game has passed him by. It's time because the last thing I want is for this younger generation to watch Aaron Rodgers and be like, who's this chump? We all know how great Aaron Rodgers is.

00;42;29;21 - 00;42;55;13

Liv Moods

Let's leave it on a good note. Let's leave it on a good note, right? Because at the end of the day, Aaron Rodgers ending his career on a pick six. None of us wanted that for him. Aaron Rodgers ending his career with 17 of 33 146 yards, zero passing touchdowns, one interception in a playoff game. Rodgers is better than that, but I think he needs to call it quits before it gets any worse.

00;42;55;15 - 00;43;19;04

Liv Moods

Yes, the game has passed him by. This guy is getting rocked around. Comparatively speaking, he's a grandpa, right? He's old. It's just time. It's just time. And I think it's so hard because not only are you giving up the game that you love your entire identity, but he feels like the job's not done. And I get that. I understand that completely.

00;43;19;04 - 00;43;39;21

Liv Moods

When you're a passionate, competitive player like he's not finished, but he needs to be. It's time Rodgers, for the sake of your body first and foremost, but then also for the sake of your legacy. Just and that. We all know how amazing you are and you want a Super Bowl. Not every great quarterback in the NFL can say that.

00;43;39;25 - 00;43;56;18

Liv Moods

And you have. So let's just walk away before things get worse. Do you know? I mean that's how I feel. Okay guys.
